How do I change my username on Twitter?

To change your Twitter USERNAME, follow these directions:

Go to to www.twitter.com and sign in.
Click on Settings in the top right menu and then click on Account in the top left menu.
Your Twitter Username is the same thing as your URL for Twitter so enter your new username in the Username box. Remember that when you change your username, your URL for twitter will also change. Your URL will look like: http://www.twitter.com/yourusername.
When you change your username, a box below your e-mail address box will open up asking for your password, enter your password there in order to change your USERNAME.
Click Save at the bottom of the page and your USERNAME should be changed.
