MYSPACE QUESTION
How do I make my Myspace 2.0 profile private? How do I make my profile friends only in 2.0?
MYSPACE ANSWER
With Myspace 2.0 there isn't a single privacy on & off switch that affects the whole profile like there was in the My Account-Privacy section of Myspace 1.0. When you go into My Account/Privacy the setting won't work for your 2.0 profile.
With Myspace 2.0 you need to set the privacy on a module by module basis. You can show some sections (blurbs or Interests for example) to the public, and other things (Comments and Pictures for example) to friends only. You can show certain modules to specific categories of friends that you can create on your friends page My CATEGORIES tab.
To set the privacy for each module follow these directions:
Login to your myspace account at www.myspace.com
Make sure you have already upgraded your account to Myspace 2.0 - directions here if you haven't
Go to PROFILE in the top menu and click on CUSTOMIZE in the drop down box.
On the Customize page, scroll down below all the top choices like Appearance, Modules, Select Theme, Advanced Edit, etc. Below that you will see your page. Roll over the section you want to change the privacy on and you will see a gray box pop up over the module with several icons.
Click on the lock icon and a box will pop up that says Interests - Privacy.
Next choose the radio button for Everyone, Friends Only, Just Me, etc. to choose your privacy settings. You can also choose Apply to all modules so every module has the same privacy setting.
Then click Apply Changes.
Then click Publish in the very top right corner.
